Jackie Greene who played hurling for Clare and Munster left Newmarket on Fergus, Co. Clare, in 1952 to work on building projects in Dublin. He founded Jackie Greene Construction in 1976 completing his first project of semi-detached homes in Templeogue in early 1977. His two sons Brian and Noel are now the directors of the company.
Since its formation the company has mainly concentrated on building quality new homes in the Dublin and Leinster area. Over recent years the company’s projects have ranged from inner city renewable developments and quality residential homes to offices and industrial units. Developments in Dublin include Grange Wood, Rathfarnham, St Annes and Hazel Park in Terenure, Woodbrook Glen in Bray, Glasnevin Woods in Dublin 11, Turnberry in Baldoyle, Dublin 13 and Rathfarnham Mill.
Over the years the company has earned a reputation for good quality work and attention to detail in all it’s developments. Currently they are working on a range of superior homes in Fortfield Square, Terenure, three and four bed family homes in Carlow and continuing the development of Dunshughlin Business Park. In addition the company has completed a number of projects in the U.K
